sooke fine arts times colonist write up

being a resident in sooke at this time of the year it is difficult not to post non stop about the sooke fine arts show.  This year is looking so exciting and for those of you who are not from around these parts, this is a pretty sweet article in the Victoria Times Colonist from today.  And hey! for all my long lost friends out in Ontario, we have an Ontario connection, our new Chief curator for the Victoria Art Gallery is none other than Michelle Jacques formerly from AGO.  and was one of the jurors on this years panel for the SFAS.

It is a show that year after is full of controversy, inspiration, and stimulation for everyone, it is never the same old same old!!

Tonight is the purchasers preview evening, wine, appies, music and being the first to see the show.  Luckily my husband Patrick Grove, is on the board for Seaparc and we received complimentary tickets to the event.  Thank you very much SeaParc!  I love being one of the first to see the show.

I will be back there on Saturday evening to present the award for the Sooke Arts Council, and will be doing wheel demos on Monday and Wed.  I hope to see lots of you there, if you have never been, please come for a look see, I promise you will be blown away.  There is something for everyone in this show, and you will be amazed at the local bc talent.
